Recipients

Consulata Agola:

This is Consulata Agola. She reached out to Heart to Heart Orphans Children Centre (HTHOCC) after falling three months behind on her rent, which totaled $90. With that support, she was able to catch up and move forward.

Consulata later became a microfinance recipient with a goal of starting her own fruit and vegetable stand. Using resources from the program, she launched her business and was able to grow and find success. When COVID impacted her community, her business was affected as well. While it brought challenges, it was not a complete loss—valuable lessons were learned that helped reshape the microfinance program and strengthen faith moving forward.

Ann Tracey:

Ann Tracey is a 12-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. Her family has struggled to provide anything beyond her basic medical needs and requested items to help Ann become more independent and improve her overall quality of life.

They were able to receive orthotic braces, a wheelchair, and a handicap potty chair. They also chose a walking chair to help Ann strengthen her muscles. The orthotics will support her progress toward walking independently, and the potty chair has given her a greater sense of privacy and dignity.

Felix & His Family

During our last trip to Kenya, we had the opportunity to meet one of the sponsored children, Felix, and his family. Felix’s mother shared the challenges her children faced trying to complete their homework with very limited lighting due to the lack of electricity in their home. She showed us the small cistern can she used for light, which burned much like a candle.

Our Communications Liaisons, Thomas and Esther, worked together to create a proposal and estimate for bringing electricity to the home. By the end of the week and for just $30, Felix and his family had power installed.

Now, the children no longer have to study by candlelight. We are grateful for the way God opens doors and provides opportunities, and we pray that His light continues to shine brightly in their lives.

Veronica & Her Family

Veronica is a devoted mother to four precious young girls. Throughout her pregnancy, she continued working hard to provide for her family—carrying a heavy coffee table on her back down a winding flight of stairs to a roadside stand, where she sold meat pies to passersby.

Despite the financial hardships she faces, Veronica showed incredible joy and a positive spirit during our visit. Because of your support, HTHOU was able to bless her family with two new mattresses, school shoes and a book bag for her daughter, a lightweight folding table, updates to her equipment, and four months of rent to provide relief during her maternity leave.

Your generosity makes it possible to share the love of Jesus and create a lasting impact. Thank you for the compassion and support you continue to give.
