Education
In Kenya, attending school requires meeting certain financial obligations that can be a significant barrier for the poorest families. Costs such as school fees and mandatory uniforms place a heavy burden on parents who are already struggling to provide food and shelter. Without access to education, children risk remaining trapped in a cycle of poverty, generation after generation.
Heart to Heart Orphans Children Centre (HTHOCC) offers scholarships to children who cannot afford school, giving them the opportunity for a Christian education. These children not only receive academic instruction but also learn about Jesus and salvation. They attend school eight months out of the year, five to six days a week.
These sponsorships are made possible through the generosity of supporters. Opportunities range from participating in the Feeding Program, which provides food for a child for $15 per month, to fully sponsoring a child’s elementary education for $50 per month. Through sponsorship, donors give children the gift of education, hope, and a chance for a brighter future.
